Communique #3 - Government Effort Failed PDF  | Print |  E-mail

The Obama Administration and the mainstream media keep telling us the recessiion is coming to an end.  Perhaps you should read this before celebrating.

The Federal Reserve's latest (through July) G19 update is out, showing consumer credit.

To say that these figures are ugly would be an understatement.  In fact, there is simply no way you can spin this - while this contraction in credit has to happen it has horrifying implications if our Washington policymakers don't get on the stick and deal with the underlying issues here and now instead of pretending that everything is ok or worse, try to "borrow our way to prosperity."

It is obvious that this administration is not being straight with us.  Read the whole article here: The government effort has failed

Communique 2 - DC Tea Party PDF  | Print |  E-mail

The media did their best to ignored the massive Tea Party rally in Washington DC.  I have lived in the DC area on and off for 20 years and I know what a million people in the mall look like.  Based on the photos and video clips, I would say at least a million people or more attended the rally. This makes it one of the largest protest rallies in American history.

It is outrageous to read how the mainstream media played this event down by describing the attendees as being "on the fringe" and claiming the crowd was in the "tens of thousands."  That's ridiculous and it is further evidence that the media is in the tank for Obama.  I hope this media bias will only anger people more.  We also must remember that there were perhaps another million protesters attending around 2000 smaller Tea Parties all over the country.  I spoke at one in my home town.  If you add those protesters, then we're talking about surpassing the two million mark. Never before have so many people protested a sitting United States president.

Communique 1 - Time To Wake Up, America! PDF  | Print |  E-mail

Over a year ago in a report I wrote for the McCain Campaign, I predicted Obama would bankrupt the country, grow government at a massive rate, restrict free speech, take over health care, pass Cap and Trade and empower unions.  All of this has come to pass or could very well do so shortly.  There is little doubt that we are in route to socialism, ala European style, with restrictions on the internet, talk radio and so forth on the way.Alexis de Tocqueville, the French political scientist who wrote a entire book on the great American experiment, also wrote this:

Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word, equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.

Folks, if we don't wake up, we are heading down the "Road to Serfdom" which is the title of a great book by Friedrich von Hayek, who wrote that central planning dismantles the free market system and ends in the destruction of all individual economic and personal freedom. He used both the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany as examples of the end result of central planning.

Part of the problem, we must all admit, is the tendency of voters to allow themselves to be manipulated by the media and not think for themselves.  The dumbing down of our schools and the elimination of logic from our classrooms has created a society easily swayed by a charming orator such as Obama.

That has to end.  We should encourage those who don't want to invest time in learning the issues to simply not vote as they are destroying our country with foolish decisions. As for those who are willing to learn, we need to educate them about the fundamental differences between freedom and slavery, socialism and free enterprise, democracy and a constitutional Republic.  Our schools don't teach this. We will have to.

America has elected a naive but dangerous central planner who actually thinks he has a mandate to transform America into a country that would not be recognizable by our founding fathers.  We all need to do everything possible to expose his power-hungry agenda.  And when it comes to his inevitable attacks on our basic constitutional rights, we need to be prepared to resist.
